Insightful. As someone with personal and professional experience as a High School English teacher, therapist, coach, and person who struggled with depression, anxiety, and suicide attempts, Kay is passionate about communicating her message well.

Throughout the past several years, I have had many occasions to talk and work with Kay. I believe that she brings sincerity, a high work ethic, and a strong desire to help others. Kay excels in her personal commitment and sacrifice by assisting everyone in their time of need.
Her goals and desires include a personal commitment towards enhancing others attain a good self-identity and inner sense of self-worth. I have worked with many people in the suicide prevention field over the last 25 years around the United States. Kay has proven to me to be an outstanding individual in this field and can be a difference maker to those who she is working with.
Kay's passion for helping others has led her to speaking at conferences, the Capitol, proclamations to County Commissioners, businesses, recovery centers, inpatient units, mental health court graduation, school students and faculties, churches, police staff, and prison staff.
Kay is a Holistic Wellness Coach & Therapist with over 15 years cumulative experience as a mentor, teacher, coach, therapist and program coordinator supervisor at a non-profit.
In previous professional experiences, Kay took a life-changing gap year program to 11 countries over 11 months, doing humanitarian work. She then went on to teach 10th grade English for 2 years before returning to get her masters in counseling.
She gained experience in a behavior health hospital, private practice, and non-profit setting as a program coordinator and led a team of 8-10 staff and interns.
In these various positions she provided, supported and directed programs for individual counseling, wellness courses, mental health trainings, a suicide prevention coalition, support groups, advocacy (child, adult, family, and prison), as well as a peer relationship building program.
Kay has been described as a great asset to the mental health community due to her depth of understanding on personal and professional levels as well as her ability to communicate well about mental health to any audience.
Kay experienced debilitating anxiety and depression as well as frequent suicidal thoughts that led to alcohol abuse and suicide attempts throughout her life. She also grieved the loss of her brother to addiction which became one of the leading catalysts for her desire to understand and help others in mental health.
She now shares her journey to deep healing, understanding, and joy with a passion for supporting others on their mental wellness journey.
Kay is also a plant-based vegan who loves to volunteer, travel, play soccer, hike, and organize events and activities for people to connect and build healthy community.
She is married to an incredible, outspoken Albanian immigrant husband who taught her much of what she learned about happiness, resilience, confidence, healthy communication, and love.
